We don’t collect your contacts or anything from other apps.
What we never do with your writing
- We never use it to train AI or machine learning models, and we never let anyone else do so.
- We don’t sell it, rent it, license it, or use it for advertising.
- Pubsworth has no AI features, so your writing is never sent to an AI model.
- We don’t scan, filter, or moderate it.
- We don’t read it, except when you ask us to help with something specific, or when the law requires it (below).
The screens we use to run Pubsworth show statistics (how many documents, how many words), never the text itself.
Who else can see your writing
- You.
- Your workspace’s owner and admins, in a workspace you’ve joined. They can export every member’s writing in that workspace. If an owner or admin removes you, they choose which member receives your writing there, and if you leave, it goes to the owner. If they deactivate you, your writing there stays under your name, and nobody else receives it.
Other members of a workspace can’t read your writing. Nothing is shared with them unless you choose to share a piece (sharing isn’t in Pubsworth yet, and when it arrives it will work this way). The owner and admins of one workspace can’t see anything in your other workspaces, including any workspace of your own: not its writing, its name, or that it exists.
When the law makes us share data
We follow the law, and it’s the only thing that can make us hand over your data: a valid subpoena, court order, or search warrant. For your writing, it takes a court order or search warrant, nothing less. Even then, we give only what the order covers, push back when it asks for too much, and tell you first unless the law or a court forbids it.

Cookies and browser storage
- One cookie, pubsworth_session, keeps you signed in. It’s essential, so there’s no cookie banner.
- Your browser holds your edits until they reach us. Your spellcheck dictionary and small preferences (sort order, the calendar’s view) are kept there too, and stay on your device.
- If you turn on Settings › Backup folder (Chrome and Edge), a copy of your writing is saved to the folder you choose on your computer. It stays there, and we can’t see it.
- Our analytics on the public site use no cookies.
- We don’t follow you around the web. No ads, no ad trackers, no tracking pixels. Ever.

Security
We encrypt everything on its way to us and wherever it’s stored. You sign in with a one-time code by email, so there’s no password to steal.
Your choices and rights
- Export everything you wrote from Settings › Export my writing.
- Correct your name and email in Settings.
- Delete your account in Settings › Danger zone. We keep it for 90 days in case you want to restore it.
- See and end your sign-ins on every device, from Settings › Your sign-ins on any of them.
- Ask us for a copy of the other data we hold about you, or to delete or correct it, at support@pubsworth.com. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, or California), you may have further rights, including to object to how we use your data or to complain to a regulator. We don’t sell or share personal information as California law defines it.
Children
Pubsworth isn’t for anyone under 16. If you think a child has an account, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Where data is stored
We store your data in the United States, and it stays there. If you use Pubsworth from another country, your data travels to the US to be stored, with the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. The promises about your writing will never be weakened for writing you’ve already stored.
